Come join us in the historic town of York in Northern England for a week of intensive fun, sketching and play with fabulous UK artist Pat Southern Pearce.
Experience the Yorkshire Moors, the Bronte sisters' birthplace, seaside Whitby and the historic city of York.

Being a "Northerner" (Northern England) herself, Pat frequents this area sketching often and she cannot wait to show you her countryside and its remarkable scenery.
You will learn so much and Pat is a kind, patient, enthusiastic teacher who has been an artist all her life.
She is a regular instructor for Urban Sketchers both in the UK and has tsught at most of the annual symposia.
She is an immensely popular tutor and artist with a huge global following.

Come and experience historic Yorkshire in the North of England and all it has to offer.
We will be staying in historic YORK.
Our tour begins in York with a welcome dinner together on the evening at 6 pm July 10 in 2024.
The tour finishes the morning of July 16 (no workshop this day) when you are free to check out of your hotel and depart.
ITINERARY
We will spend 3 of the five sketching days within the historic walls of ancient York city itself meeting Pat each day for a 3 hour workshop at such sites as Clifford's Tower, the medival area called The Shambles and some of the many towers, turrets, fortress walls and hidden corners in York.
Each day you will have free time to continue sketching or go exploring this wonderful city.
The other two days of the tour are excursions by bus to:
WHITBY
on the East Coast of England, the birthplace of Captain Cook and very scenic. It is a treat to wander aroundthe harbour and the quaint streets. The haunting Abbey ruins on the hill forms the most extraordinary backdrop.
Our second sketch excursion is to the West of Yorkshire to the famous moors and the Bronte Sisters Parsonage in historic
HAWORTH village
Learn all about the Bronte sisters and family, visit the famous graveyard, the moors and the places in their parsonage where they lived and died.
This tour is packed with history amongst the unique Yorkshire backdrop of breathtaking scenery and hospitality.
YOUR OWN HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
The tour does not include your accommodation. You must book your own accommodation for the tour duration and we suggest you do this as soon as you book and pay for your tour deposit as there are limited cottages, hotels and accommodation available in the part of the city of YORK you need to be.

Don't leave it too long to book your accommodation.
Please remember to book for July 10 in 2024 for 6 nights and to ensure you are within the triangle of the historic old centre of York between:

(non-sketcher price is £1,590)

** the nearest airport is Leeds-Bradford International Airport which is 25 miles away. You can then order a cab or catch a bus into Leeds and then a train to York.
OR: fly into London airport (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton) where you can then organise a train trip up to York from Kings Cross station in central London (which is less than 2 hours in duration if you catch a direct train.) You can book your train trip here below but remember, you cannot book a train ticket more than 12 weeks before travel date.
